Darling Dahlias

As noted in an earlier post, the 2095 chick is not one who tends to get excited about leaves, twigs and trees BUT as a photographer there are some flowers scream to be captured on film (albeit digitally)

These hypnotic stunners appear to be 3D such is their natural beauty it is almost impossible to take a bad shot.  The Darling Dahlias is what the 2095 chick likes to call these beauties and luckily when in season they can be found at quite a few of her favourite markets!

Curiosities and Oddities

For those who are not already familiar with the 2095 chickz obsession with challenges at one market, here's the brief.

How many of one thing or a concept can be found at single market location.

This particular challenge was "things you wouldn't ordinarily see" in the real world, but somehow seem to fit in to market world.

At a certain market located in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs here are the results:

Fungii

Fungii....mushrooms even!  They taste sublime and nothing but nothing is more intoxicating and mouthwatering than when fried in butter, scattered with a bit of chopped parsley (flat leaf please, none of this curly business!) to be consumed IMMEDIATELY!

Then there is the world of the exotic.  We taste them when we eat Chinese cuisine (amongst others) half the time without realising it!

Admittedly there are times when the 2095 chick wishes she was a bit more brave in trying them within the domestic environment and given the variety now available at market, this fear should be overcome sooner rather than later.

Photographing them is pure bliss.  Each shot is perfect.  You can't NOT take a bad photo and as such the hommage to the fungii begins

Time to spice things up

Spices: one of the oldest trades in the world.  It was an incredible valuable form of currency between such regions as Asia, North East Africa and Europe.

It's trade was the indelible "usher" for the European Age of domination in the East but for the 2095 market chick, it holds an intoxicating almost seductiveness about it whether it by colour or aroma.

It adds flavour, colour and a dimension that reaches new heights in the culinary world but one must be diligent in its use for too much can overpower, and not enough well...can leave your food tasting a little bit blah.

Thus the top 2095 market chickz choices are:

Tea Time!

Well not really, but the 2095 market chick is intrigued by pretty tea pots and and any blooms that may magically appear.

So if you are in to a bit of virtual tea, then please join me as we sup to the delights of all things calming and pretty.

A girl can never have too much bling

The task at hand for the 2095 was to identify as much bling in a single market as she could and even if she does say herself (never of course being known for her own to embody humbleness: as a wise man once told her "if you don't blow your own trumpet, no one else is going to do it for you") she did a pretty good job.

So without further ado the 2095 presents bling located at a market in the 2086.
